Two people were injured in a shooting during an attempted robbery in Detroit.
The incident happened Thursday night outside an event hall near Joy Road and Southfield Freeway.
Police say the victims were sitting inside a wide-body Dodge Charger Scat Pack during an event at the location when the suspect(s) attempted to rob them for the vehicle.
Shots were exchanged between the suspects and the victims. A third witness also fired at the suspects in an effort to stop the robbery.
The victims, a 23-year-old and a 19-year-old, were both shot but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Two suspects were taken into custody after fleeing the scene. Officers recovered two-guns and a ski mask.
The investigation remains ongoing.
