Detroit police Chief James White has provided any update on a shooting at a tailgating event during the Lions game in the Eastern Market.
The incident occurred Sunday near Russel St and Fischer Fwy at Shed 6.
Police say an altercation broke out when one person pulled out a gun and fired shots. Two individuals were shot, with a man in his 40’s pronounced deceased at the scene. The second individual, a man in his 20’s, was struck in the head and listed in critical condition.
The 31-year-old suspect from Oak Park was arrested at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information can contact Detroit Police.
