2 kids are dead, and 13 others were injured after a drunk driver crashed into a building during a kid’s birthday party.
The incident happened Saturday evening at the Swan Boat Club, located in Newport, Monroe County, about 20 minutes south of Detroit Metro Airport.
According to police, the female driver, who was in her 60s, was allegedly under the influence when she drove into a building that was hosting a birthday party for kids.
Two kids, who were siblings, an 8-year-old female, and a 5-year-old boy, were killed. 13 others were rushed to a nearby hospital, some by helicopter.
Their conditions weren’t immediately known but several suffered life threatening injuries. Stay with @metrodetroitnews
