2 injured after shooting on Detroit’s east side

Detroit police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. in the area of 7 Mile and E Outer Drive. It was captured on a cellphone camera.

Police say an altercation occurred, which led to the suspect firing shots.

Two people were hit, a female and a male, both listed in temporary serious condition.

The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
