A 16-year-old Dearborn teen was killed in a late-night crash while drag racing at nearly 100 mph in Dearborn Heights, police said.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. Thursday on westbound Ford Road, just east of Telegraph.
Investigators say the teen was racing another car when he lost control and slammed into a building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, also a teenager, was later tracked down and ticketed for drag racing and had his vehicle impounded.
Police have not released the victim’s name as the investigation continues.
