15-year-old arrested at Southfield school with loaded gun

A 15-year-old student at Southfield A&T High School was arrested Monday morning after police found him inside the school with loaded a g-n, officials said.

The arrest took place around 10:00 a.m. after school security received a tip from other students that the student was armed.

School Resource Officers located the teen in a bathroom, where a brief struggle ensued before officers removed it from his waistband. It was later discovered it was stolen from a home in Detroit, officials said.

The student, a Detroit resident, is now facing charges for CCW, Resisting and Obstructing.
