A 13-year-old was taken into custody Monday afternoon after an accidental shooting at an apartment on Kercheval near McClellan on the city’s east side.
The teen was playing with his older brother’s gun-when it discharged, striking another teenager. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
The 13-year-old was handcuffed at the scene and taken into custody as the investigation continues. The owner of the weapon has also been arrested.
