An 11-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the head on Detroit’s east side.
The shooting happened around 4:00 a.m. in the block of Pennsylvania, near I-94 and Gratiot.
The 11-year-old girl was sleeping on the couch when a car pulled up, two people got out, and began to fire shots (23 shots) inside the home. The child was hit in the head and transported to a nearby hospital. Several other children and adults were inside the house at the time of the shooting.
Police say the same home was shot up in December 2023, but no one was struck at the time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detroit police.
