At just 10 years old, George Latham IV is continuing to make his mark as an author and literacy advocate.
George has officially released his third book, “I Can Work in Sports”, created in collaboration with the Detroit Pistons.
The book, designed to educate and inspire young readers, highlights the wide range of career opportunities available in the basketball world beyond being a player. George Latham IV explores paths like sports management, broadcasting, athletic training, and other important roles that keep the game running.
“I’m excited to show kids that they can be a part of sports in so many different ways,” he said. “You don’t have to be a player to be successful in the sports industry—there are so many jobs that help make the game happen!”
Before the release of I Can Work in Sports, George IV had already made a name for himself as a young author. He published his first book, I Can Be, at just 6 years old, encouraging children to dream about their future careers. At 8 years old, he followed up with I Can Be: Sports Edition, which focused on different roles within the world of sports. His new book I Can Work in Sports is now available for purchase. georgelathamiv.com/shop
