$1 Million Powerball Ticket Purchased at Detroit CVS; Jackpot Surges to $1.3 Billion

Someone in Metro Detroit is now a millionaire after buying a winning Powerball ticket at a CVS Pharmacy on East Warren Avenue.

According to the Michigan Lottery, the ticket matched all five white balls in Monday night’s drawing, earning a $1 million prize. It was one of 10 tickets across the country to hit the million-dollar mark.

While that’s a big win, the jackpot is what’s grabbing national attention. No one matched all six numbers, which means the grand prize will now grow to at least $1.3 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing. That makes it one of the largest jackpots in Powerball history.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
